The Alameda County Democratic Lawyers Club Winter Social, Friday, February 24, 2012, 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Sequoyah Country Club, 4550 Heafy Road, Oakland, California Honorees receiving special recognition at the event are: Outstanding Jurist The Honorable Thelton Henderson Currently a federal judge in the Northern District of California, Judge Henderson has played an important role in the field of civil rights as a lawyer, educator, and jurist. Outstanding Practitioner Jon B. Eisenberg Author of The Right vs. The Right to Die, a nonfiction account of the Terri Schiavo case, in which he represented Michael Schiavo;and principal author of California Practice Guide:Civil Appeals and Writs (The Rutter Group) Outstanding Public Service Fania E. Davis Civil Rights attorney and community activist; Executive Director of Restorative Justice for Oakland Youth (RJOY), which actively engages families, communities, as well as school and justice systems to repair harm to youth.

The Winter Social is a flat rate of $35 per person, you have the option to pay in advance or at the door.
